Goondiwindi Christian Church exists to multiply strong disciples who passionately outwork the Great Commission.

​

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age’” (Matthew 28:18-20).

​Our process for building strong Christians who passionately outwork the great commission is threefold:

 

1. Establish​

​

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love. (Ephesians 3 v 16-17)

• Establish people in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ

• Establish people in the local church

• Establish connections with other believers

2. Equip

​

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,  until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4 v 11 – 13)

• Equip through teaching of the Word of God

• Equip through Discipleship

• Equip through small groups

• Equip through Water Baptism

• Equip through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

3. Commission

​

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. (Mark 16 v 15)

• To send out into the local community

• To send out into the surrounding communities

• To send out missionaries

• To plant churches
